Assistant HR Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant HR Manager supports in overseeing daily human resources operations, implementing HR policies, and managing employee-related processes. This role plays a key part in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labour laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Support recruitment and selection processes (job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding)

  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and exit procedures

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation

  • Support performance appraisal and employee development programs

  • Handle employee relations issues and assist in conflict resolution

  • Assist in payroll coordination, attendance, and leave management

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices

  • Support training and development initiatives

  • Prepare HR reports, analytics, and presentations for management

  • Assist in disciplinary procedures and grievance handling

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and HR best practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organizational and time-management abilities

  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR or a similar role

  • HR certification (SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is a plus
